How to Take Long Web Page Screenshots on a Mac

This MetaFilter article answered the question in 2006, but for 2012 and Lion, David Chin's blog has the method that worked for me:

  1. pull up the page in question in Safari
  2. open Skitch
  3. in the Skitch menu, select "Snap Safari"
